Ingredients For Greek Turkey Burgers:

Ground Turkey: I like to use ground turkey because can be easier on the stomach than ground beef for those of us who have IBS or SIBO.

Oat flour: If you don’t have oat flour, you can grind oats in a blender, or you could use gluten free breadcrumbs.

Lemon juice, parsley, dill, oregano, salt & pepper: These ingredients bring allll the flavor.

Gluten Free Buns: I love Canyon Bakehouse!

Ingredients for Dairy Free Tzatziki Sauce

Plain dairy free yogurt: My favorite is Silk’s plain almond milk yogurt, but it’s hard to find near me! The So Delicious brand plain coconut yogurt is a close second for me. Just make sure it’s unsweetened and plain! You definitely don’t want vanilla flavor in this recipe.

Mayo: The dairy free yogurt and the mayo mixed together work together to create the right texture and consistency.

Cucumber: Cut the cucumber in half and peel it before you chop.

More lemon juice and dill: I love the flavor of these two together!

Garlic oil: The best way to get garlic flavor on the low fodmap diet.

Options for Cooking the Turkey Burgers:

  1. Use your regular outdoor grill. Because I live in Minnesota, we can only grill outdoors for half of the year (if we’re lucky), but there’s nothing better than grilling on a beautiful day! We like to use these grill mats to keep the burgers from sticking to the grill.
  2. Use an indoor grill. We have a small George Foreman that we use to grill in the winter.
  3. Pan fry the burgers. If you’re going to make the burgers on the stove, make sure you use enough oil so that they don’t stick to the pan. I also like to use a splatter screen on top of the pan to prevent the oil from flying out.
